Message from your President,
Greetings and Happy New Year! I am sure we are all ready for 2021 to bring us some normalcy!! The last quarter of 2020 brought us our first electronic voting for your Board of Directors. I would like to thank those who were willing to put their names on the ballot- serving our association does involve a personal commitment and I thank you! For those who are no longer on the board, thank you for your commitment and dedication, we appreci ate you! Just like all new adventures, we had learning curves, but all in all it was a great tool that saves the association a considerable amount of money. Of course, for those wanting a mailed ballot, we accommodated them as well. Overall our voting turnout was around 33%. I would like to personally thank those who took the time to vote and I’d like to encourage everyone to remember that your board works as your voice, so it is important to vote!
This time of year, finds us renewing our yearly membership, please make sure your dues are paid–it is a quite simple task to pay online at Digital Horses. While you are in Digital Horses, I ask you to look at your membership profile and your herd management. Look to see if you have horses listed that have either sold or are deceased or gelded —making these updates helps our organization to keep accurate records and counts of the Shire horse!
